Ways to get involved

Help create what's possible.

Every program in this organization started as a conversation with somebody who wanted to reach young people and needed a partner who could actually deliver it.

Four main routes

Where you fit, and what we will ask you.

The questions are different for each route, which is why there is no single contact form.

Schools

In-school, afterschool, intersession, Creative Career Days, and field trips, designed around your calendar, your funding cycle, and the goals already written into your plan.

Useful to know up front

  • Which students you want to reach, and roughly how many
  • The window in your calendar you are working with
  • Whether funding is identified, expected, or still to be found

Industry

Host students, send practitioners, contribute technology, or build an initiative around what your organization actually does. Music to the Ears handles the schools, the logistics, and the delivery.

Useful to know up front

  • What your organization can offer - people, place, technology, or funding
  • Whether you are exploring a single activation or a longer initiative
  • Any community, region, or cause your organization is committed to

Philanthropy

Fund a program into a school, back an initiative, or support the Creative Pathways Fund. Institutional giving, corporate giving, and donor-advised funds are all supported.

Useful to know up front

  • The outcome you want your giving to produce
  • Whether you are giving personally, corporately, or through a fund
  • Any reporting your board or trustees will need

Community

Libraries, cities, counties, nonprofits, cultural institutions, and community organizations. If young people already gather somewhere, programming can run there.

Useful to know up front

  • Where the young people you serve already gather
  • What is missing for them right now
  • Who else in your community would need to be involved

Government agencies, higher education institutions, and individual mentors are all welcome too - the inquiry form below has a route for each. If you are a school looking for K-12 delivery detail, the fastest path is musictotheears.education (opens in a new tab).

Start here

A short inquiry, not a long form.

Two steps. Tell us who you are, then answer the three or four questions that matter for your route.

First, who are you?

It changes what we need to ask you, and who picks the message up.

Careers

Working at Music to the Ears.

Open roles are posted when they exist. Practitioners who want to teach, mentor, or host students should use the mentor route in the inquiry form above - that is where most people join.

Media and press

Press inquiries.

Use the inquiry form and pick the route closest to your outlet's interest. Press materials and approved imagery are available on request.

Or support the mission directly

Funding is what turns a plan into sessions that actually run.

Give once, give monthly, or fund a program into a specific school or community.
