Creative Pathways into the Automotive Industry is a community partnership between Music to the Ears, Academix, and the LA Auto Show. The invitation is open to the more than 2.5 million K-12 students across Southern California.

Music to the Ears Foundation, Academix, and the LA Auto Show invite K-12 schools to participate in a first-of-its-kind educational field trip experience connecting students with the people, technologies, brands, and careers shaping the future of mobility.

Students won't simply attend an auto show. They'll experience the automotive industry as a world of creative, technical, and business opportunities.

This year-round collaboration expands how students experience the automotive industry by introducing them to creative, technical and business careers through hands-on learning, industry engagement and immersive experiences. Whether students are interested in design, technology, media, entrepreneurship, gaming, engineering or storytelling, the automotive industry offers exciting pathways that many young people have never considered.

Why this field trip matters

The automotive industry is rapidly changing. Electric vehicles, digital technology, advanced manufacturing, media, gaming, design, software, entertainment, and new mobility platforms are creating careers that extend far beyond the traditional roles students may associate with automobiles. The LA Auto Show brings that entire ecosystem together under one roof. By experiencing the show firsthand, students can connect what they are learning in school, and what they already love, to real companies, technologies, professionals, and career possibilities.

Students will discover opportunities across:
